By Grant Cardone
In his book ‘Sell or be Sold”, Grant Cardone outlines the skills necessary for success, not only in the business world but every aspect of your life. Grant confirms that selling cannot be just a hobby to you, instead to become successful you need to immerse yourself and become obsessed with it. Selling cannot be a past-time that you do. Instead, you must be completely invested in it; you need to work harder than anybody to see results that are greater than anybody. Grant also states that when in a business interaction, instead of focusing on what you will benefit from the interaction you need to see what the other person will gain in doing business with you. You need to be 100 percent sold on your brand and believe that it is the best decision for your client to make.
People buy a specific product because of love, the feeling they get when buying it. That is why you have to be passionate about your brand first before you can attempt to persuade others. You need a level of conviction in yourself that is greater than anyone else’s.
Grant also states that to achieve huge results, extensive measures must be taken. He says that the single best tool he has for success is his ability to take massive action at once. You cannot take little steps to reach great heights; you need to leap to soar. He says that there are three types of actions: good action, bad action and no action, he, however, adds massive action as the fourth and most important type of action to become successful.
The book also states that you cannot truly gain power and stature without being able to persuade others. You need to persuade people in all aspects of your life and if you are not able to do that you are not able to be successful. You need to practice closure as an art, a single skill that you will use throughout your life. Selling is a career to many but a requirement for all.
